About Me and my Journey

My name is Doron Kadmiel. I plan to ride on BMW R 1200GS around the world, starting April 20th, 2012 from Israel. My plan is to go eastward from Greece to Turkey, the 'Stans', Russia to Japan. From Japan I will try to find my way to Australia. I plan to tour the Fifth Continent for a while then after crossing the Pacific I will ride down South America to Ushuaia. I plan to climb to North America up to Alaska. I will start my route then westward towards the East coast, crossing the Atlantic to the British islands and via Europe I will return home, to Israel. If for some reasons the passage to OZ will be difficult I will cross the pacific to Alaska and then I will ride down to South America.
The length of the Journey will be around 80,000 km over a year and a half.

In the past 6 years I did few shorter journeys to Russia and Norway, Spain and Morocco, The Balkan countries and Eastern Europe as well as Western Europe, Turkey, Jordan and the Himalayan part of India.

I hope to meet along my route my fellow riders and join for some days or more.
